Last week was a high point in my business life, when we were presented with one of only 15 “Best UK Dealership to Work For” awards at an Industry Conference in Birmingham.

When I started my own business I wanted to test or challenge myself to see if I could run and own a business successfully - but how do you measure success?  Well, as far as I am concerned, if I can provide a safe and secure workplace, and one that improves the lives of the staff I employ, that they enjoy  and feel part of, then that’s success in my eyes - and I have managed it without a degree in management!!  Just lots of experience and the benefit of learning on the job from some great people,  two in particular, and unfortunately neither of them are still about for me to thank, but thanks anyway Eddie and Colin, I was privileged to learn from you.

It’s great to know in this technology-filled world that mine is still a people business, and my philosophy of having a ‘people car business’ is still the best way in business, and that by my creating a good workplace environment,  that in turn has a great positive effect on the customers we serve. It’s not rocket science, many people claim it’s the right way, but how many of them actually do it?  Well I’m very proud to say we do!!

 I absolutely love love my Suzuki Vitara! Even after 2months since I became the proud owner of my Suzuki Storm I still look at her each day I go to drive her and think wow! She not only drives like a dream she is so practical I managed to clear a whole bedroom out and fit everything in the boot in 1 trip to the recycle centre! For me to take the plunge after 7 years of driving before I went and got myself a brand new car was a scary thought however the guys at Luscombe are all too lovely 😊 from Damian who I originally spoke to first when I inquired and booked a test drive with to Mark the Sales Manager who sat with me on that very first drive and made me laugh all the way through it I knew then that I could trust these people for the next 4 years and every time I have called up for instance last 2 days to arrange to pop down for my 2month Service Kirsty who works on the main reception is also just so lovely and friendly! I think you know how great there friendly, down to earth customer service is along with there great sense of humour shows when u remember everyone name you come in contact with 😃 I feel quite blessed that both myself and my beauty Storm will be looked after by this great bunch for the next 4 years and more as I don't see myself buying any other type of car make and that's not just because they make great cars they also have a great team! Fantastic sales ethos

My daughter acquired a car from here a few months back so I went down to have a look. No pushy salesman hiding ready to jump out on you it was great just to walk round and have a look. When I was ready I went in to speak to the friendly salesman and I was sorted out with the car I wanted no pushing extras on me- it was just a straight yes or no from me that was that. I deffo wud go back - great place and very welcoming staff.

Dear Robin,

We and especially my wife enjoyed the purchase of her Celerio, especially as it replaces her 11 year old Citroen C2.

The vehicle was competitively priced and we hope the aftersales service will be as good as that experienced during the purchase.

One inaccuracy with the information about this vehicle though  ..tut  ...tut

On our trip Leeds to Selby and back, the trip mpg did not show the 65mpg that I was told to expect on a steady run but 76mpg!

 Amazing .....it read 80.1mpg when we reached Selby via the A63 but we returned cross country via Cawood and Church Fenton with plenty of 2nd and 3rd gear corners. The engine sounds quite sporty over 4000rpm!

I trust you will amend this information.

The service at your garage is the best quality I have ever received Pete was so happy to make it all run efficiently and his approach and professional input made me feel my car was in good hands. 

The car was collected dealt with and returned to me with a no fuss and an efficient service . The car itself was spotless inside and out and a small scratch had disappeared an excellent job done by your staff!

And finally credit to the mechanic who adjusted the handbrake and fitted the back light an all round good job done.

Initial welcome from salesman Mark Reynolds was warm and friendly without being too pushy.  Having purchased, we were dealt by Mark Adamson who was efficient and provided excellent information. I wanted to email you personally to let you know how happy I was with the team at Luscombe Suzuki when buying my new Suzuki Swift. We dealt with Shaun Holmes who was very professional and helpful. He was honest, reliable and went above and beyond for us. He even dropped documents for me to sign straight to my door so that I didn't have to travel over to leeds!  The purchase was easy, quick and I was completely satisfied with the whole experience. He has also offered to pick up my car for its 2 month service! 10/10 from us!!! He has restored my faith in sales people!!!
I also would like to mention Peter Brandon, the Service Manager who has also provided us with excellent services and customer service.  We have had our cars serviced with Peter for 3 years now and each one has been great. He has really looked after us, again picking up and dropping off our car for us. We couldn't have asked for more from our recent purchase experience.

We have dealt with Robin (down to earth fella), and his team from start up, they have always looked after us and our cars.  We have had a few from them and always 100% satisfied , they are communicative at all times and are ambassadors to Suzuki GB..  From the MD  Sales and Parts down to the Valeters.  (We do have a problem with a disc on this new Vitara but i know it will be sorted on its 2 month free inspection).  And one thing that that you notice on entry to this dealership is that all the sales execs can speak freely to you on the deal in hand and you leave with answers NONE OF THIS, I WILL RING YOU BACK AS OUR VALUER IS NOT IN AT THE MOMENT and on a lighter note the coffee is always there .  Well done luscombe and as arnie says ILL BE BACK?  Ian, Pudsey

Staff are always friendly, helpful and approachable, unlike other garages I have used where staff can be cold and unwelcoming. This is one of the reasons I am prepared to travel to this dealership when there are actually others nearer to home - We were on quite a tight turnaround, and I was very pleased to find that the service had been completed slightly earlier even than promised. I really appreciated this

With the service package we subscribe to, the dealership represents real value for money. eg I was paying over £200 for the service alone (not including all the add-ons, eg AA membership) three years ago at another dealership. RB
